DSD’s founder, Dan Summers, studied Art & Design at Richmond upon Thames College gaining a GNVQ with ‘Distinction’ before attending The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, where he was awarded an HND in Graphics New Media.

Dan is as passionate about design as he is about motor racing; ever since his dad bought him his first go-kart and Dan insisted on go-faster stripes!

After five years working for several design agencies and developing his diverse skill set, Dan decided to set up his own freelance design studio and DSD was formed.

Established at the beginning of 2008, DSD aims to provide a distinctive design service to all its clients, from small start-ups to well-established businesses. Dan is as happy designing for estate agents as he is designing for catering firms and disc jockeys! He believes that all clients should be able to benefit from well-designed artwork and marketing materials without paying excessively high fees.

From our studio in Chelmsford, Essex, all communication from initial project briefing right through to delivering the completed artwork is carried out by Dan himself, to ensure continuity and the highest standard of personal service.
