DESIGN PROCESS

The Brief

All projects start with a detailed brief taken either at an initial meeting or via an in-depth email. This is the most important part of the design stage as it provides us with essential background information regarding your business, your products or services and your company ethos; all of which helps us to get a clear idea of what is required.

Initial Design

As soon as the brief has been taken, we will confirm any quotations to you in writing or by email, and start the process of designing your artwork. We often do this by sketching rough drafts on paper, then transfer them to computer into a format that is easy for you to review and evaluate. As soon as these initial designs are complete we will send them via email.

Review and Revisions

Once these initial designs have been sent, we will ask for your opinion of each one. Usually, one or two items will be worked on further, refining certain elements such as colour and typography; however, if it's thought that the design is not right for development, further new ideas will be created. This process of designing and reviewing will continue until you’re happy with the final design A single set of revisions will be included in your initial quotation, with any other changes after that being charged pro rata at our hourly rate.

Final Output

Once your designs have been signed off, they will be made up to professional print or media specifications and supplied via both email and cd rom. As standard, the most common file types are .eps .ai .pdf .jpeg and .tiff plus any software specific files such as Adobe Indesign.

Terms

We are a small business and request payment at the end of the project. Once payment is made, you will receive full copyright for the artwork.
