![]() PROFILE![]() More about the man in the driving seat… …Dan has always loved cars from a young age and had his first peddle go-kart at the age of six! Now he runs his own graphic design business to fulfil his other great passion of drawing. Dan lives with his wife, Fleur, in Chelmsford, Essex. Dan started karting at the tender age of 12 on a short indoor track simply called, 'Go-Karting' in Weybridge. There he was taught all about racing lines and the art of race craft! Eventually the need to move outdoors came and Surbiton Raceway was discovered. After several successful corporate events, Dan's grandparents surprised him with a twin-engined pro kart of his own, which would be driven to many victories at both Surbiton and later Sandown Park. After several seasons contesting both junior league and owner-driver championships at Sandown Park, the decision to stop racing came when Dan started studying at University in 2000 at the age of 18. Four years later and thank to several persuasive friends, Dan was back racing on a regular basis, first at his old proving grounds of Surbiton Raceway and then moving on to Buckmore Park, where 6-hour endurance races were the order of the day. After getting behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Evo on an experience day at Oulton Park in 2004, Dan had his next step in sight, and with his Dad’s help, started to prepare a car to enter the 750 Motor Club Stock Hatch Championship in 2005, and the rest, as they say, is history! |
